Epsom Hermès bags are the easiest to clean. The skin is extremely scratch resistant and pleasant to touch. The texture is smoother than Clemence.
SWIFT
If bright colors are yours, then a Swift leather bag is a great choice. Leather, formerly known as Gulliver, is one of the most widely used materials for Hermès bags after Togo and Clemence. Due to its very dense embossing, Swift is one of the softest types of leather.
One of the most popular types of leather, which is also very scratch resistant. A bag from Togo is perfect for outdoor events and does not require close attention. Very smooth, yet grainy leather.
CHEVRE
One of the most desirable Hermès leather types. The skin belongs to the mountain goat males, which gives it elasticity that distinguishes it from others offered by Hermès. It combines all the best: very high scratch resistance and incredible softness at one time. Thanks to this combination, Chèvre is a pretty expensive option in the Hermès leather range.
Well, no surprises. This is probably the most easily recognizable skin due to pores throughout the bag. Ostrich is one of the most persistent exotic types of Hermès leather. It perfectly retains its shape for many years, does not fade when wet and has a fun thing: when it comes into contact with human skin, the ostrich's leather darkens a little, and when exposed to direct sunlight, it brightens.
SHINY NILOTICUS
The most popular exotic leather from Hermes. Gloss is achieved by hours of polishing. Compared to the alligator, crocodile bags have larger scales and small dots inside. Bags made of Nile crocodile can be recognized by two points (••) next to the Hermès logo. Despite the nature of crocodiles, it is better to keep these bags away from water.
This leather is a complete analogue of the Shiny version, but, as the name implies, it has a matte finish that makes the bag look more austere and classic.
SHINY POROSUS
Crocodile Porosus is the most expensive exotic leather made by Hermès. Being almost identical to Niloticus, Porosus is distinguished by the origin of crocodiles (Asia and Australia). Bags of this skin have a ^ symbol next to the logo.
The difference with Shiny is the same as Niloticus. It's all the same Porosus, but matte. Excellent skin, astronomically high cost and the same moisture intolerance.
SHINY ALLIGATOR
A highly pop exotic leather obtained from an alligator of the Mississippi River. This delicate skin is rarely found in large bags, and although it looks like a crocodile, alligator leather bags are cheaper. You can recognize alligator handbags and accessories by the square marking next to the Hermès logo.
Judging by the hype around the matte skin of the alligator, bags made of it are even more desirable than glossy ones. A beautiful, almost symmetrical texture turns bags into works of art. Along with the skin of a crocodile does not like water.
LIZARD (VARANUS NILOTICUS)
Like most exotic Hermès leathers, the lizard can be matte or glossy. However, small scales, in any case, give opaque things a slight shine. Due to the size of the lizards, this type of skin can usually be seen in small accessories and purses. A lizard is a delicate material that requires constant care to avoid overdrying the scales.
